Well, it's that time of year again. Time to gather with the family and friends and celebrate the season. If your Christmastime travels are bringing you to North Carolina, we want you to know that we've got plenty of activities and events to get you in that holiday spirit.
For example, the video above comes to us from the small Gaston county town of McAdenville, which becomes Christmas Town, USA during the month of December. 2009 marks McAdenville's 54th year of lights, but it is just one of many holiday light displays going on around the state, from the mountains to the sea. There are also some great holiday traditions and performances going on, so if you need a little infusion of holiday cheer, there are plenty of places to find it.
If you already live here and are hosting some out-of-town guests, VisitNC has that covered, too. Check out this list of ideas for keeping the guests occupied and yourself sane, whether you're hosting adults or children, outdoor enthusiasts or indoor aficionados, sports fans or art lovers.
No matter where you spend them, we hope you have a happy, healthy, and safe Christmas season. Happy holidays, everyone!
