While there are still some brightly colored trees hanging on in the Piedmont or along the coast, Thanksgiving weekend is usually about the time when North Carolina says goodbye to fall color and hello to holiday celebrations and winter sports!
But, before we bid adieu to the spectacular hues of fall 2010, here's a quick video photo essay of shots from the season. All the video here was shot in October. If you missed this year's foliage, start making plans now to visit in 2011!

I hated to see fall go. But in Charlotte, the colors did last longer than I ever remember. Now it's freezing!!
