A new North Carolina ghost story is making the rounds, and this one has a ghostly photographic apparition to go with it.It happened at the Lake Lure Inn & Spa, a facility that's been around since 1927, and one that's had its share of things that go bump in the night. But in this case, the "ghost" quietly slipped into a picture of an ice sculpture being photographed by the Inn's Events & Catering Manager, Christopher Patrick Bryant.
The photo, which appears to the right, seems fairly innocuous, until you look to the left of the sculpture and see what appears to be a transparent image of a young boy. Bryant sent the picture to Paranormal Scene Investigators of Ellensboro, NC, but even after running the photo through several light filters, there seems to be no earthly explanation for the image.
Since then, the Lake Lure Ghost has gone viral, getting coverage from across the country and around the world. Here's a segment from the folks at WLOS-TV in Asheville, who featured the story in their newscast on December 20:

That's easy to replicate. Set the shutter speed for 10-20 seconds and then have someone step into the shot for just a second. I say fake. :-)
I love the Lake Lure Inn! I wouldn't be surprised that it does have some ghosts around.
